Variations to the 2021 Toyota RAV4 occur by the powertrain. There are minimal adjustments to the standard RAV4, which is the original RAV4, off of which the other two are based. The RAV4 continues with the same mechanical configuration and the same lineup that it had in the past. The RAV4 Hybrid, which is a variant of the RAV4, adds another trim. The RAV4 Hybrid lineup now includes an XLE trim in addition to the others that were previously available. All-new for this year is the 2021 RAV4 Prime. The Prime is a plug-in hybrid. It produces more power than both RAV4 models, and it has an impressive 42 miles of range on electric power.
