Six years ago, Elizabeth Gomez (4th person from right to left in above photo) and her three daughters were living in a car. With perseverance and help from family and friends, they were on the road to a brighter future, until Gomez got some devastating news.

In 2014, she was diagnosed with cancer. After several surgeries and chemotherapy, things started looking better again for the family, and she has now taken a part-time job, providing assistance to the elderly.
